Privacy Policy
General
This Privacy Policy applies to the Jaemy websites, mobile applications, and related services (the “Service”), operated by EUP TECHNOLOGY.,JSC (“EUP”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to EUP's collection, use, and sharing of your personal information in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Jaemy is a Korean–Vietnamese dictionary and language-learning application. Please note that EUP is constantly testing and improving our product features, so some features described in this Privacy Policy may not be available to all users or in all jurisdictions.
Information We Collect
When you use the Service, EUP may collect the following personal information about you.
a. Account Registration
To register for a Jaemy account, you may provide us with your email address and a password.
You may also register using social logins: Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In. If you register using a social login, EUP may receive information about you from your provider, including your email address and basic profile information (such as your name). Apple Sign-In allows you to hide your email address through Apple's private relay service.
You can manage your Jaemy account and connected social logins from your settings.
b. Profile Page & User-Generated Content
After you register, a profile is created for you. Your profile is populated by information you submit, such as your display name, username, and profile picture (avatar).
The Service includes a community where you can create posts and comments (“User-Generated Content”). Content you post, along with your username and avatar, may be visible to other users.
Your profile may also include information about your learning progress, such as your saved words, study statistics, and streaks.
EUP may review profile information and User-Generated Content to ensure compliance with our Terms of Use, and may restrict or remove content that violates our rules.
c. Jaemy Premium
The Service offers an optional paid subscription (“Jaemy Premium”). Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; EUP does not receive or store your full payment card details. We receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status in order to unlock premium features on your account.
d. Voice Search & Text-to-Speech
Some features let you search by voice. To recognize your speech, the Service uses your device's built-in speech recognition (Apple Speech on iOS, Google speech services on Android). Recognition is handled by your device's operating system in accordance with Apple's or Google's privacy practices; EUP does not separately record or store your audio.
The Service also provides text-to-speech to read words and sentences aloud. You can skip voice features and use text input instead.
e. Activity Data & IP Addresses
When you use the Service, we may generate data about your use of it, which may include your browser and device data, log data, device identifiers, and IP address. We also generate data about your engagement in learning activities, such as lessons viewed, words searched, and exercises completed.
f. Cookies
When you access the Jaemy website, we store certain data from your browser using cookies and similar technologies (including browser local storage). We use session cookies to confirm that you are logged in. Most browsers let you refuse or accept cookies; however, some features may not function properly without them.
g. Analytics & Diagnostics
We use Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring) to understand how users engage with the Service, to detect crashes, and to improve performance and stability. On Android, we also use Facebook analytics tools. These tools may collect device and usage data. This information is used to compile reports and improve the Service, and generally discloses trends without identifying individual users.
How We Process Your Information
EUP may process your personal information on the following legal bases: to provide products or services you request, to pursue EUP's legitimate interests, to comply with legal obligations, and with your consent. In particular:

EUP may share personal information with third parties that help us provide or improve the Service, including hosting providers, analytics providers, advertising partners, translation providers, and payment processors.
b. Communicating with you
We use the email address you provide to send you: essential messages to operate the Service; learning reminders, tips, and progress updates; notifications about community activity; and announcements about changes to the Service or about new products, services, and offers. You may opt out of non-essential messages in your settings or via the unsubscribe link.

The Service may display advertising, including through Google AdMob. To provide personalized advertising, we and our advertising partners may use information about your use of the Service and your device's advertising identifier (Apple's Advertising Identifier or Google's Advertising ID) to serve ads tailored to your likely interests and to measure ad effectiveness.
You can limit personalized advertising through your device settings. Premium subscribers do not see ads. Users in certain jurisdictions (including the European Union and United Kingdom) are opted out of personalized advertising by default.

Data Retention
EUP generally retains your personal information until your account is deleted. We may retain certain information longer where necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or enforce our agreements. We may retain anonymized data indefinitely.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
Do Not Track
The Service is not designed to respond to “Do Not Track” signals sent by some browsers.
Links to Third-Party Websites
The Service may contain links to other websites and services (including app stores and payment processors). EUP is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties. When you click a link or submit information to a third-party website, you will be subject to that third party's privacy policy.

If the changes are material, we will post a notice on the Website for at least seven (7) days before the changes take effect, and we will indicate the date of the latest revision at the bottom of this Privacy Policy. Any changes will become effective at the end of that seven (7) day period.
